The Ardeche region has always been a land of chestnut trees. Although today for reasons of cost and volume, the majority of those able to transform chestnuts have turned to other sources and countries for their supplies, the noble character and the taste of the Ardeche chestnut represent in our eyes a point of reference.
At Maison Charaix we simply wish to contribute to the development of this subtle and unique taste and make it known. Our chestnut-based products are all made from chestnuts from the heights of the Cevennes in the Ardeche region and each product corresponds to the choice of one or several perfectly adapted varieties. The choices of varieties and the expertise required for their transformation are fruit of our traditions and the demanding nature of our craftsmen who are just as passionate as we are about this exceptional fruit.
